Artist’s Statement

I hope to capture a moment in time that will express the emotional bond I have with the view; clouds moving with the wind, waves in constant motion, the solidity of rock, and the tranquility of trees and landscape.

Oil painting gives me the freedom to depart from process-oriented enameling and allows me to focus on the immediate expression of artistic concept. Most of my paintings are painted plein air, locally and in Rhode Island.
